Group Training

We believe in the energy and power of a shared fitness environment. Group training classes are taught by our Surge personal trainers and combine workout stations with team synergy to produce a dynamic and ever-changing [and rather sweaty] experience.

Linda Roy

Certified personal trainer by the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA). Possesses specialties in functional strength training, core, posture, and alignment. Linda is also a Group Fitness Instructor of STOTT Pilates, Reformer, Barre, Spinning, and Silver Sneakers… plus she enjoys putting on gloves and working the heavy bag.

William Bychowsky

Certified personal trainer by the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). Possesses specialties in weight training, strength training, body fat loss, muscle gain, power lifting, and rehabilitation. In addition to one-on-one personal training experience, Bill has over 27 years of weight training experience and has competed as a Male Muscle Model. In 2019, Bill placed Fifth in the Male Muscle Model category at the World Beauty Fitness & Fashion (WBFF) Fitness Atlantic competition at Mohegan Sun Casino. In 2020, Bill placed Second and Third in the Amateur Male Muscle Model Category at the Virtual World Tour competitions hosted by WBFF Entertainment. In 2022, he placed Third in two categories of the same competition.

Kathy Duenzl

Certified personal trainer by the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Possesses specialties in senior and women’s fitness, functional strength training, injury prevention, and core/ body weight exercises. Kathy has over 30 years of fitness experience, including a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a Minor in Nutrition. She is a Licensed Massage therapist and an AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor. Her favorite classes to teach are bootcamp, interval training, STEP, spinning, Silver Sneakers, strength training, and small group circuit training.

Katie Pepoy

Certified personal trainer by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).  Katie’s favorite training styles are functional, powerlifting, and small group circuits.  When she’s on the gym floor, she fosters the kind of positive and empowering environment that supports true client confidence and transformation.  With five years of personal and small group training experience, Katie is more than ready for a new challenge!

Amanda Marquis

Certified personal trainer by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).  Amanda’s fitness background spans from intensive cardio to intensive strength.  While she is a proven runner--she has completed 5ks, 10ks, half-marathons, and even a full marathon!—she is also a bodybuilder!  From Ragnar Relays and Triathlons to focused meal prepping and weight training for bodybuilding competitions, Amanda is a cross-functional expert.  She is prepared to help clients from all fitness backgrounds…and to talk all things Harley Davidson with anyone who rides!

Juliana Prete

Certified personal trainer and nutritionist coach by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).  Juliana has a long-standing relationship with athleticism.  She danced for fifteen years and figure skated for sixteen.  She was even a competitive figure skater on the nationally ranked Sacred Heart University team.  Though she has long-understood the intricate relationship between sports, fitness, and nutrition, she formalized her knowledge with certifications and is now training and coaching professionally.  She is also a Certified Nursing Assistant and a nursing student enrolled in Quinnipiac University’s accelerated program.  Juliana is a kind and supportive person and personal trainer, and easily bonds with clients…especially over Pilates!
